Turf Wars Robot
Project Overview
This was the final project for my Computer-Aided Machine Design course, in which I worked with a group of four other engineering students to design a robot to compete in a class competition called Turf Wars. We named our robot Tony Robo and placed 3rd in competiton. I was the lead design engineer and spearheaded modelling and design iteration in SolidWorks.

Constraints
The main constraints of the project resources, footprint, and manufacturing methods. We were tasked with building our robot from components in which we utilized each of the manufacturing processes we learned throughout the course (3D printing, CNC milling, silicone molding, laser engraving, lathe, bandsaw, drill press) on at least one component.

Gearbox and Drivetrain
In class, we dissasembled torque wrenches and utlized many of the components for then creating a gearbox for our robot in combination with other parts that we manufactured using a lathe, laser engraver, 3D printer, and other shop tools. For the drivetrain, we used two gearboxes to deliver maximum torque to the system based on the torque ratios calculated in lab.
